Q: When is a tie not just a tie?
A: Sir Plus has partnered with the Global Penguin Society for a limited edition tie to raise funds for penguin conservation efforts. Inspired by the classic chocolate biscuit, each tie comes with a pr-ice-less joke printed on the back blade, and an all-over emperor penguin print.
We will donate 10% of profits from the sale of each tie to the Global Penguin Society. There are 18 species of penguin concentrated across the Southern Hemisphere, 55% of which are listed as under threat. Climate change, ocean pollution and fishing mismanagement are all dangers to the world’s penguin population, which GPS fights to conserve through research, education and lobbying. Each tie will help GPS on initiatives such as the “Blue Patagonia” UNESCO biosphere reserve, which today protects 40% of the global population of Magellanic penguins.
